First day of April and the sun's out. It's warm enough to still wear shorts, just threw on my velvet jacket to keep warm in the shade. I love the combination of the green against the black and white stripes.

So I decided it was time for a haircut. My hair had gone pretty wild with a mind of its own. I love the hairdressers but, you feel so nice leaving and everyone in there always has the most perfect hair - its baffling. Anyway I walked out feeling like I lost about 5kg worth of hair, but a new month is here tomorrow so time for a change!
I know this picture has nothing to do with hair but I thought I'd share with you a picture of some of my favourite jewellery - most importantly my ring. I got it at a market with my mum a few years ago and only discovered that there was a little Buddha inside the stone after I bought it.

Was such a nice day today - perfect for a lunch at King St wharf overlooking the harbour. We went to Steersons Steak House, the food was amazing, from the fresh cooked bread, to the vanilla creme brulee for desert!

As you might've already seen from this blog, I'm not the type of person to wear something once and never again. I just cannot afford to and personally wouldn't want too. I like playing with the things I already have to create different looks. The first look here is something I wore on the weekend (you'll notice it's the same jumper I wore last week) and then just changed the jumper (once again one I wore before) so that the outfit was work appropriate.

Today I pulled out my old tan loafers. I go through a bit of a love hate relationship with them, sometimes I really like the look and other times I feel a bit like my grandad. Today I decided that I liked them again. I spent my Saturday morning thrift or 'op shopping'. I use to do this all the time but haven't been in ages. Managed to pick up two tshirts and a bangle that I really like all for under $14 - love when that happens!

I am one of those people who have tons and tons of jewellery but always wear the same pieces everyday. I use to wear lots of jewellery all the time; I tended to go through stages, at one point I was obsessed with necklaces, then bangles; my last was rings.
I have decided to try break out of my jewellery rutt, starting with this ring. I bought it in Melbourne about 2 years ago from a random little boutique. Everyone says it reminds them of a wrapped chocolate truffle.
